Food Recipes Stashed is, as its name suggests, a place where recipes are collected and stashed.
In the pre-digital age, my mum would cut out the recipes she fancy from newspapers, magazines, food packaging etc. and paste them into her recipe scrapbook or should I say books. She did more cutting than pasting, so a lot of the recipes are loose sheets of newspaper cuttings filed between the pages of the scrapbook.
I slowly grew to realize that I have the same habit. But I have modern technology on my side. Instead of cutting, I scanned. Instead of pasting, I filed on my computer.
With web technology, I can post and share these recipes online.
With mobile technology, I can access these recipes anywhere I want, especially when I am at the grocery stores. No more slapping my forehead for forgetting to bring my shopping list out.
I am Chinese so most of my recipes would be in the Oriental or Asian style. But there will always be Western dishes especially grilled recipes or baked recipes.
Feel free to roam around.
Yours happily,
Phoebe
