Radish salad recipe

This radish salad recipe uses the Japanese white radish. Also known as the daikon radish.

Ingredients
5-6 inch long section fresh white radish
80g glass noodles
3-4 pieces ham
1 century egg

Salad dressing
1 tbsp sesame seed oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Dash of ginger juice

Directions

  1. Cut the daikon into thin strips. Rub them with a little salt 
  2. Let it stand for 15 minutes, rinse and dry them
  3. Soak the glass noodles in boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes
  4. Drain and rinse in cold water
  5. Cut into bite-sized length
  6. Cut the ham and century egg into strips of equal length as the daikon strips
  7. Toss the daikon, ham, century egg, glass noodles and salad dressing together
  8. Plate and serve
